If your pickup day falls on a major holiday, your pickup may be delayed. We’ll post any schedule changes on our Facebook page and website ahead of time.
How do I start trash service in Postville?
Postville residents sign up and are billed through the city. Contact Postville City Hall to get started. Kluesner Sanitation handles your actual pickup once you’re enrolled.
What size cart do I get?
65-gallon totes, provided by Kluesner Sanitation.
Do I need to bag my trash before putting it in the cart?
Yes. All trash must be placed in garbage bags before going into your cart. This keeps loose debris from spilling during collection.

Where should I put my cart on pickup day?
Place your trash and recycling carts at the curb line by 6:00 AM on Tuesday. Please keep your carts at least 3 feet apart. Our trucks use an automated side-arm, so make sure there’s enough clearance on both sides of the cart.
