A behind the scenes look at Kluesner Sanitation’s role at the field of dreams velocity music festival 2025.

For one weekend, the Field of Dreams—a movie site built on baseball nostalgia—transformed for a massive event. This year, the iconic Dyersville, Iowa location transformed into a major music destination, hosting the two-day Velocity Music Festival, headlined by Tim McGraw and Nickelback.

While tens of thousands of attendees focused on the performances, the team in Farley, IA, Kluesner Sanitation, was working behind the scenes to manage the waste generated by one of the largest events ever held in Dubuque County.

Our mission was to provide seamless, efficient and discrete waste management that ensure a clean venue for the fan experience.

Based on the projected attendance figures (over 35,000 people over the weekend), we knew the proper placement and capacity were the keys to success.

Here is what Kluesner Sanitation delivered to the festival grounds:

100 carts to be placed near food vendors, high traffic areas, entrances, and restrooms.
5 30-yard roll-off dumpsters to serve as the centralized collection points, positioned in discrete areas, away from the crowd.

Unlike permanent venues, the Field of Dreams site required a complete sanitation reset between concert days. The Kluesner Sanitation crew was on a tight, early morning schedule.

6:00 AM Sunday morning after the crowd departed following Tim McGraw’s sold-out performance on Saturday, the festival staff consolidated the waste. Our team arrived to pick up the fully loaded roll-off dumpsters, ensuring that all trash from day 1 was hauled away and that the remaining carts were ready for the 12PM gate opening.
6:00 AM Monday morning after the Velocity Festival concluded with Nickelback, our crew arrived for final collection of trash, the 5 30-yard dumpsters and the 100 carts.

The Velocity Music Festival 2025 was a huge success, and Kluesner Sanitation is proud to partner in making events like this a reality, demonstrating that when it comes to large-scale events, we deliver the logistics and commitment necessary to keep the magic of the Field of Dreams alive.
